Windows Appeal
No water shortage in Great Wakering - Unfortunately. Below you can see where the rain ran in every time the wind was from the south east.
Let it rain! The window repairs are complete and we are able to enjoy the beauty without worrying about when and where the next rain storm is coming from. Grateful thanks for all donations which made it possible. Especially Cory Environmental Trust (Rochford), Fowler Smith and Jones trust, and Friends of St Nicholas. Without the donations and fund raising events we would still be waiting.

Work to repair and renovate the windows to protect the fabric of the church was urgently needed.
Application was made, and approved for the work to be carried out to restore and repair the windows of St Nicholas church.
£35000 to £45000 was needed to complete the project.
The Money has been raised in a number of ways. Grants have been received from Cory Environmental Trust (Rochford), Fowler Smith and Jones trust, Friends of St Nicholas, donations and fund raising events.
